Nanny requirements:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1 year professional childcare experience
  • CPR & First Aid Certified or willing to be certified
  • Clean criminal record
  • Verifiable references
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Has un updated resume
  • US driver’s license

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

1 Additional certification:

  • Child development associate (CDA)
  • Certificate nanny (CN)
  • Special needs training

2 Skills:

  • Childcare planning and organization
  • Meal preparation and nutrition
  • Housekeeping and laundry
  • Engagement and activity planning

3 Language:

  • English fluency ( additional languages a plus)

4 Availability:

  • Flexibility for varying schedules
  • Reliability and punctuality

5 Personal qualities:

  • Patience, kindness and empathy
  • Trustworthiness and discretion
  • Communication and team work skills

SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENTS ( if applicable):

  • Special Needs experience
  • Infant care expertise
  • Twin or multiple children experience
  • Language or cultural specificity
  • Additional household responsibilities (e.g. pet care, light housekeeping)
